HIStory

The Front Range Chapter's first meeting was Aug. 1, 2004 at South Suburban Christian Church in the Denver suburb of Littleton, Colo. Fifteen people attended the meeting.

Jim Doenges, a licensed minister and life-long mountaineer, coordinated the chapter from Nov. 12, 2005-Sept. 16, 2008. The first event Doenges led was an avalanche awareness clinic attended by 20 people on Dec. 15, 2005. Read Doenges' story, “I Want What He Has” in Partners In Climb.

Josh Carroll, a Mission: Haiti veteran, coordinated the chapter from September 2008 to September 2010.

Missy Jean Dedrick became the chapter coordinator when she joined Climbing For Christ staff full-time on Jan. 1, 2020.
