What began in the classroom as a teaching was put into practice on Mount Kilimanjaro by Climbing For Christ’s guides and porters, who conducted another successful outreach expedition.

Climbing For Christ returns to Tanzania for more DMD training with guides and porters in our Kilimanjaro Chapter. We also return to Mount Kilimanjaro for teaching and outreach.

Climbing For Christ’s Kilimanjaro Chapter of guides and porters meet for third quarter training in communicating the Bible, preparing to GO with a sense of urgency to deliver the Gospel to a world needing to hear.

Another outreach expedition (our fourth) during which guides and porters continue to learn how to deliver the Good News on the mountain. They put teaching into practice and rescue the lost on Africa’s tallest and most popular mountain.

The Kilimanjaro Chapter's second quarterly DMD training of 2025 is happening in April with Africa coordinator Damson Samson teaching and visiting home Bible studies as part of our year-long encouragement of guides and porters.

Climbing For Christ’s 18th expedition to Tanzania, where C4C was birthed in 1998, is scheduled for December. We conducted our first mission to Kilimanjaro in 2007. Thirty Climbing For Christ members have participated in Mission: Kilimanjaro, many more than once. Twenty-three members have gone to the summit at least once.

We were blessed with a $29,250 matching grant by the AHEAD Initiative for our 2025 disciple-making work in Tanzania (Kilimanjaro Chapter) and Malawi (Mulanje Massif Chapter). The January training of Kilimanjaro Chapter guides and porters is the first of 10 trainings scheduled between Tanzania and Malawi.

A second Mission: Kilimanjaro 2024 resulting from the fruit produced during the first one in January is scheduled to officially start July 25. But our team is in-country early for some family celebrations.

This was the first on-the-mountain training of our Kilimanjaro Chapter in Tanzania and the Mulanje Massif Chapter in neighboring Malawi. Our goal is to have every one of the 160 or so guides and porters in our chapters trek, be taught, and do outreach on their respective mountains before the end of the year. Unexpected results saw 57 people guided to Jesus.
