Grace in Kathmandu on Mission: Nepal 2022.

Nationality: American. Occupation: Student. Missions with C4C: Nepal 2022 and 2023.

How long have you climbed? I live in Colorado, so I have been hiking for as long as I can remember. Type of climbing you do: Hiking. Highlight of climbing career: Hiking to the top of Greenhorn Mountain (12,352 feet/1,631 meters).

How long have you been a Christian? I received and believed in Jesus Chirst as my Lord and personal Savior in 2008. Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in: I am a small group leader for Awana and I build the lyric slides for church on Sundays.

Favorite Scripture verse (and why): Psalms 119:37: “Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to Your Word.” There are many things in this world that distract us from God, and if we are not glorifying God, then there is no point to anything. I want to do everything to further His Kingdom.

Special “God moment” you’d like to share: Ten months before my first international mission trip (Nepal 2022 with Climbing For Christ), I started struggling heavly with anxiety. As we prepped for the mission trip, there was always a bit of doubt in my mind whether I would get on the plane or not, even though I really wanted to GO. I didn't know if my anxiety was going to hold me back from doing God's will or not. The day that we were to leave I promised myself that no matter how bad my anxiety was going to get, I was going to get on the plane and fly to Nepal. I kept telling myself that God's got this; I didn't need to lean on my own strength but on His. And God was faithful. The whole trip I felt little to no anxiety symptoms and everytime I could feel myself start to worry, I would pray to God and He helped me feel at peace.

What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? Climbing For Christ is one of many, many mission organizations, but something that is unique to them is that they work in mountainous areas. I admire that because there are many unreached people groups in mountainous areas and Climbing For Christ is working to reach them to tell them the Good News of great joy
