Occupation: Student/stagehand at Durango Community Concert Hall. Missions with C4C: Peru 2017 and 2018. How long have you climbed? My whole life! Type of climbing you do: Hiking, backpacking, and the occasional spelunking. Highlight of climbing career: Either Big Bend National Park in 2011 or Ice Lakes in Colorado in September 2016. How long have you been a Christian? I’ve been a Christian my entire life, but only started taking my faith seriously in September 2016. Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in: Pre-school during the summer. Favorite Scripture verse (and why): “If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.” Psalm 139:9-10. I like to consider these words to live by. No matter what corner of the earth I find myself in, God will be right there by my side. How awesome is that?! Special “God moment” you’d like to share: My freshman year of college. So the past eight months. Through the power of prayer and the work of the Holy Spirit, there are six different people at my college that have accepted Christ this year, many of whom are good friends! What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? Climbing For Christ brings those who love to adventure and those who love to share God’s love together. For me, that’s the best of both worlds.
