Himachal Pradesh, a northern Indian state in the western Himalayas, has many spiritual strongholds. “Himachal Pradesh needs Jesus as its Savior,” our ministry partner says. “We are praying for it.”

The apostle Paul’s ambition was always to preach the Good News where the name of Christ had never been heard, rather than where a church has already been started by someone else (Romans 15:20). Climbing For Christ shares a similar passion and vision. Mission: 2022-2023 continues our primary purpose to GO where others cannot or will not.

Climbing For Christ has come a long way from its birth by God in the heart of Gary Fallesen before a Kilimanjaro climb in 1998. Guides and porters do more than work on Mount Kilimanjaro now. They are disciples being taught to make disciples and plant churches in East Africa. We are celebrating the 25^th anniversary of Gary’s first climb and teaching Kilimanjaro Chapter members more about “Discovering the Bible.”

We are returning to the scene of the climb, a trek in the northern reaches of the Cordillera Blanca we visited in 2015. We had planned to GO there in 2022, but that was not God's plan (Proverbs 16:9). Mission: Peru 2022 was rescheduled for 2023 because of serious illnesses in the family of our national worker.

MEMBERS ONLY PAGE. The Muslim background believer – a rarity in the modern-day country where the early Church began – spoke about the “Light that will enlighten us and save us all” in Turkey. “May the light of Jesus Christ be upon us always,” he declared recently.

A strenuous nine- or 10-day trek into a new, remote area is scheduled for May. Climbing For Christ has trekked throughout the north-central, Mid-West, and northwest corner of Nepal, covering hundreds of miles. God is sending us to the Kangchenjunga Conservation Area.

Challenges to doing ministry in India include anti-conversion laws, persecution, and funding needs.

Climbing For Christ has been providing instruction, prayer, and support in the mountains of Haiti since 2005. The New Generation took over where we left off in 2014 with our financial support and ongoing advice.

Climbing For Christ has been teaching guides and porters in the Kilimanjaro Chapter how to evangelize since we organized them in 2008. This has led to a disciple-making movement around Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa and the birthplace of Climbing For Christ.
