Jesse Fallesen

Jesse trekking in Nepal.

Nationality: American. Occupation: Supervisor, University of Rochester Medical Center supply chain. Missions with C4C: Mexico 2005, Dominican Republic/Haiti 2005, Kilimanjaro 2007, China 2008, Peru 2011 and 2018, and Nepal 2016.

How long have you climbed? 20-plus years. Type of climbing you do: Mountaineering, hiking, and bouldering.

How long have you been a Christian? Since baptism to confirmation and present. Type of ministry you are blessed to serve in: Missions.

Favorite Scripture verse (and why): Psalm 121, my confirmation verse.

Special “God moment” you’d like to share: Witnessing a climbing ministry being transformed through and by God, from an idea/concept to the international organization C4C is today.

What does Climbing For Christ mean to you? An opportunity to reach out to those unreached in distant lands, to spread the word of God’s grace and love. As a Christian man I am called to witness to all: my family, neighbors, friends, co-workers, etc. C4C has given me the chance to expand my boundaries exponentially. Not only do all the people mentioned above need Christ, so does the widow in Malawi, the climbing porter on Kilimanjaro, and the Sherpa in the Himalayas. I will go wherever God sends me. God does not call the equipped, he equips the called. By Christ, I am one who has been called to witness not only in America, but well outside of our land. Through faith in Him I believe He will equip me to do so.
